TRAIL RUNNING CLINICS

A very fun chance to run and learn from a very experienced trail runner! I would definitely recommend to all those interested-Larry

My son, his girlfriend and I really enjoyed Jennifer’s clinic.  We all agreed that it was the perfect intro to trail running for us; she gave us great insight.  We are feeling less intimidated and looking forward to our first trail race-Marla

Never tried trail running but always wanted to? Interested in seeing what the rave is all about with these amazing 5 Peaks races? Or wanting to learn how to better zip down the hills, power your way up the hills, and jump over obstacles?

Come join myself and others at one or more of the upcoming trail running clinics.

Spring/Summer dates to be announced soon!

POOL RUNNING CLINIC FEB 5 2017

pool-running

Come make a splash with me!!!

One of the advantages of having my fair share of injuries in the past (or simply looking for ways to improve my running with minimal stress to my body) is that I’ve developed quite a knack for pool running.  I’ve gotten to know the lifeguards at the pool quite well!  So I speak from experience when I say that you can get an AMAZING workout with pool running! And it’s not just to maintain fitness when injured; it can be:

  • a great alternative to the treadmill on days when the conditions are poor,
  • a type of active recovery following a hard workout, or
  • a way to help increase volume/intensity without the added stress to your body.

That being said, it is easy to cheat, be lazy or simply do it incorrectly (yes, you can injure yourself while pool running!)!

Join me for this one hour session where you will learn some of my favorite tips for getting the most of your workouts.  We will begin with a review of proper technique, then jump straight into a workout.

Date: Sunday Feb 5 11am-12pm

Location: York University-Glendon Campus Athletic Centre Proctor Field House at Bayview/Lawrence  (see map below )

Cost: $25

What you need: bathing suit, swim cap (mandatory) and googles (preferred). Run belts are provided.

Advanced registration is required to ensure that we have right number of lifeguards. Welcome to invite a friend. Please email me directly to sign up. Limited space available.
