TRAIL RUN RETREAT

With the colorful leaves falling to the ground, October is a great month to escape and run on the trails, while relaxing and connecting with other women. Join me on this amazing getaway and experience the scenic trails of Blue Mountain. Over the course of the weekend, you will have the opportunity to explore different trails and receive helpful tips and information on technique, injury prevention, training considerations and more. There will also be ample time to simply relax and recharge your batteries. You will leave on Sunday feeling more knowledgeable, renewed and inspired!

Always time to snap great photos along the way!

Friday night begins with a casual dinner from a local caterer Men with Knives, as we get to know each other and start to engage in some great discussions. Wake up Saturday morning to the smell of fresh baked muffins and a hearty breakfast, fuelling your body for your morning run on nearby trails. Following lunch and another information session, there will be the option for a second run and/or a hike, or you can choose to stroll in the village, treat yourself to an onsite massage or simply relax in the hot tub. Prepare to fully relax in the evening with another great home cooked meal, while sampling some wine, spritzer and cheese, and continuing forward with the discussions. Sunday morning begins with the option to start your run in the dark and finish with the sunrise. After another hearty breakfast with fresh baked pastries, there will be one final run to finish the weekend off.

Runners of all levels are welcomed. No prior trail experience is needed. Different paces and preferred distances can be accommodated. See the list of FAQ at the end of the page

Frequently Asked Questions:

Is this for me?

If you want to treat yourself to an amazing weekend, love trail running and want to 1) learn more; 2) meet other fabulous women 3) replenish your body and soul; and 4) discover some great trails—they yes, this is for you!

Why is this Women’s Only?

My other retreats are open to both men and women. And I love working with both!!!  But I like the idea of a women’s only retreat because it allows for discussions of a different nature; plus there’s a unique connection that naturally evolves when  you get a bunch of women together.  And it was requested!!!

Do I have to participate in all runs?

No! This weekend is all about you, and what you need. You can choose to skip a run and go for a walk instead or simply stay back and chill. Or you can get in as much running as possible. With the exception of the run where we focus on technique, the routes are such that you can tailor the distance to your preference.

I’m not fast. Can I still come?

Of course! The runs are set up to accommodate different paces; I will do my best to pair you up with others of similar paces.

How much distance do we cover in the runs?

Run distances are customizable and are based on your pace and preference. Runs can be anywhere between 45min up to 2hrs at a leisure pace depending on your preference. Although still tentative, there will likely be a run Friday late afternoon, Saturday morning and afternoon and Sunday morning.

What are the accommodations like?

We are staying in luxury-style ski chalets close to the village.  Picture open-concept main living area and kitchen with lots of windows.  Balconies with great views, hot tub and BBQ.  Accommodations vary from dorm-style shared rooms to private queen with full ensuite. Note that rooms are selected on a first-come first-serve basis.

What do I need to bring?

Whatever you need for running-including trail run shoes, multiple change of clothes, drinks and foods while running. Be prepared for various weather conditions as we run in the heat and rain. All meals are provided however you are welcomed to bring some snacks. You are required to bring linen pillow covers, towel and toiletries.

When does it start and finish?

For those who can make it, there will be an optional run Friday mid afternoon; otherwise we start with dinner around 6-7pm. We will be finishing late Sunday morning, with a quick lunch to set you on your way

Can you cater to special diets?

Yes! I just need to know in advance please.

Is it refundable?

Unfortunately payment is non-refundable unless we can find someone to take you place (e.g. if there is a wait list)
