I first created the site a few years ago as a way to start sharing my passion for trail running and to hopefully inspire others to give it a try. Although this is still my goal, I’ve since created a new website www.runtrailswithjenn.com that I’d love for you to check out. The information on this site is still a good read, however going forward new events and such will be updated on my new site.

As a competitive runner and duathlete, trail running has become my “escape”. The trails are where I feel the most calm, the most confident, and the most peaceful. For me, running in the trails is pure bliss! (and it doesn’t hurt that trail running is a fabulous form of cross training!)
Some people are afraid or hesitant to give trail running a try. Others have never really given trail running much thought. And some people have simply never ran before. My goal with this blog is to show you that ANYONE can learn to run (and appreciate) the trails, and to experience the bliss for themselves! So if you are 4 or 100 years old (or somewhere in between); if you are a seasoned or a newbie runner; or if your running experience has been limited to the pavement—come and give it a try! The trails are eagerly waiting for you-and if you are quiet, you may even hear the trees calling your name!

Hi Jennifer, I was hoping to chat with you about a training program, trail running, and finding a trail running club. I ran in the North Face Endurance challenge (10k) this past weekend, and absolutely loved it!

Hi Jennifer, I also have fallen in love with trail running, I live in Albany Western Australia and have just returned from my home country NZ where I ran the Motatapu off road Marathon through the high country of central otago – just awesomely beautiful, water crossings, hills up and down, bush, rivers the lot, I have only been running for just over a year but never really liked on road. We also have beautiful trails here in albany, its great to make a connection. Cheers
